Anne Celeste Heche (born in 1939) was an American Actress who played a range of characters on television, in movies and the theater. Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney September. 6 in 1953) is an American movie actress. She is well known for her portrayal of Lieutenant Sheba on the TV show Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979). The actress is the daughter and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart's professional career started very young. Her first role was at age four when she starred in T is for Tumbleweed. It was nominated for an Academy Award in this short film. Lockhart would be in the film with her mom, where she was able to learn about the nuances of business. Lockhart also appeared in a few scenes of Lassie. Dora in Jory was her debut film in the year 1972. The Sixth Sense starred her as the Joan Crawford daughter at age 18. Joan was the last actress to appear on the show. Anne was reported to have turned down Laurie Strode (John Carpenter's 1978 Halloween-themed thriller) and Jaime Lee Curtis took the character. Carpenter claims that Anne declined his invitation to be Laurie Strode. Anne does not recall John Carpenter contacting her or offering the part. There is a chance that one of Anne's agents rejected it on her account without telling her. Glen Larson initially selected her to play the character of Battlestar Galactica in 1978. He wrote a rough script. The actress initially refused the part because the character didn't seem to be strong enough. Glen was later able to write a character for her that featured a strong character called Sheba. The first 25-page script was read to her and she immediately agreed. It lasted for one season. She starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the movie Joyride (1977) and also co-starred with Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
